About
I'm a nurse who taught himself to build software, and I work in the space where those two overlap, which turns out to be most of where healthcare actually breaks.
Nursing showed me the front line: what a ward runs out of, what a form doesn't ask, what fails at two in the morning. Software gave me a way to fix some of it instead of just charting it. Between them sit the things I spend my time on now, building products, running research, writing about what I learn, and shipping the occasional client site to keep the lights on.
The work spans more than one lane on purpose. A blood-donor network that lives in WhatsApp. A 387-person study on whether health workers here are ready for AI. A trilingual platform for coordinating beach cleanups. Health chatbots for an NGO. An offline-first tool for nurse interns. Different surfaces, same instinct: build for the ward, the power supply, and the language that actually exist, not the ones a demo assumes.
I'm early, and deliberate about it, learning, building, and putting things in front of real people every week. The goal was never to write more software. It's to build health technology that survives contact with an African hospital on a bad day, and to keep doing it at a bigger scale than the last time.

Off duty
Outside the ward and the laptop: chess, anime, picking up a new language for fun, music, and any excuse to travel somewhere new. I'm messy about process and dead serious about outcomes, I don't have much patience for rules that don't have a reason behind them, and I'm fairly obsessed with the idea of making this big. Delusional, maybe. It's worked so far.
